How much do I charge ?

It's nice to be transparent when it comes to daily rates.

As with many other camera owner/operators, my fees

are variable and negotiable depending on the length and complexity of each individual project.

 

However - it is nice to have something in 'black & white' to allow for budgets & planning.

 

So the fees outlined below are standard rates for an 8hr

day, (inc weekends).

(with overtime and travel days highlighted below).​

'Operator only hire' or daily FCPX Editing: £400 p/d

Daily Rate (inc. camera, lighting & sound): £650 p/d

A few more considerations:

  • 8hr daily rates include travel time to location.

  • Travel days around 1/3 day rate.

  • Taxis/Tolls/Parking charged at cost.

  • Meals & Overnights charged at cost.

  • Travel charged at 50p per mile.

  • Longer hrs & buyout rates negotiable 

  • Shorter daily hrs also negotiable 

  • Overtime charged: 1/8th day rate (p/hour)

  • Dry hire rate usually excludes any equipment.

  • Rate reductions for bona-fide student or educational/charity productions.

  • T&C's available on request when booking
